4 Step Process
1.
Application & Desk Review
Producers submit a self-assessment and request an audit. Certification staff reviews submitted documents, verifying policies and procedures.
3.
Expert Instructors
Each criterion is scored to determine the certification level. A detailed report is provided, highlighting strengths and offering recommendations for improvement.
2.
On-Site Audit
Certified evaluators visit farms or facilities to observe practices firsthand and conduct interviews with relevant stakeholders.
4.
Supportive Community
Certificates are issued for 2 years, with annual monitoring. Producers may renew their certification or apply for a higher level through a new evaluation.
